Make Cinnamon Rolls in a Waffle Iron?

They'll Be Gone in 60-Seconds

By Cookie Heden May 10, 2012
Somebody showed me a picture of these and I didn't believe them.  But, being the inquisitive person that I am, I quickly made a trip to the local market and picked up some Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls in the refrigerated section and went home to try these for myself.  Wow - was I surprised how easy these were to make, and how quickly they were consumed - they were gone in 60-seconds.  Why would you make these you ask?  They bake in 1-2 minutes instead of 13-17 as suggested on the Cinnamon Roll tube.  Here's what you will need:

1 package Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls in the refrigerated section in a tube
Cooking Spray (Pam)
Waffle Iron (I prefer the Belgian Waffle Iron)

Preheat the waffle iron.  Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray.  Lay 3-4 cinnamon rolls around the center of the waffle maker and close the lid.

If you waffle iron requires that you rotate it which is what my Belgian Waffle Iron does, then go ahead and flip.  Bake for the same length of time you would bake a waffle, usually 1-2 minutes.  Open, remove cinnamon waffles and top with the Pillsbury Icing and enjoy -- that is, if you actually get any, ha, ha.

I hope your family enjoys these as much as mine did!
