Looking to make Easter extra fun (and just a little mischievous) this year? Whether your kids are little or growing up way too fast, these silly Easter Bunny shenanigans will have them giggling — and looking forward to the magic year after year.
Even though my kids are grown now, the holiday fun doesn’t stop. Our "holiday friends" — like the Easter Bunny, Santa, and the leprechaun — still bring surprises and silliness to our celebrations. And trust me, no matter how cool your kids act, they love it.
Ready to bring the Easter Bunny to life in the most memorable ways? Try these fun family Easter traditions this spring:

1. Plant Magic Jellybeans
The night before Easter, “plant” jellybeans outside. By morning, lollipops will have magically grown in their place! You can use simple lollipops or get festive with Easter-themed ones.
One year, our neighborhood kids even joined in. Watching them “harvest” their treats the next day? Pure joy.
2. Hide EVERYONE’S Easter Basket
The Easter Bunny hides baskets for everyone in our house — kids, parents, even the dogs! One favorite tradition? Dressing the dogs in Easter bunny ears and letting them “help” with the hunt. It’s almost guaranteed to spark laughter and some adorable photo ops.
When my kids grow up and come home for the holiday? Yep, they’ll still have to hunt for theirs. And funny enough, Mom’s basket is always the hardest to find. Coincidence? I think not.

3. Bring Back Old Favorites
That sneaky bunny sometimes finds old stuffed animals and storybooks stashed in the attic... and sets up adorable little scenes around the living room.
It’s a sweet walk down memory lane and a reminder that Easter is just as much about nostalgia as it is about candy.

4. Leave a Bunny Trail (a messy one!)
The Easter Bunny tends to leave a trail of Easter grass everywhere — from bedrooms to doorknobs — proving he stopped by.
Sometimes we’re still finding grass months later. (No joke — I once found some while decorating the Christmas tree.)
5. Create a Special Easter Morning Surprise
Each child has a personalized Easter dish waiting at the breakfast table, filled with their favorite candy — not necessarily Easter-themed.
It's a little extra something that’s just for them, and it makes the morning feel even more magical.
6. Host a Hilarious Easter Egg Hunt
Sure, our egg hunts include candy and coins — but sometimes, that bunny gets silly.
Think cherry tomatoes, mini pickles, or baby carrots inside those eggs! There’s nothing like the giggles when someone opens an egg and finds a vegetable.

7. Leave “Bunny Poop” (aka black jelly beans!)
Tiny piles of Easter grass with a few black jelly beans = the Easter Bunny’s “poop.”
When my daughter was two, she ate some and my son screamed, “She ate the BUNNY POOP!” We still laugh about it — and yes, black jelly beans are still her favorite.
Whether you try one or all of these ideas, remember: the real magic is in making memories. Here’s to a holiday filled with fun, laughter, and maybe a little mischief.
