One of our favorite FREE things to do in The Woodlands area is visit Splash Pads, (Spraygrounds)! There are so many in the area and best of all, did I tell you, it’s FREE!!! These are our top 4 Splash Pads we love visiting and are open year round. As long as it doesn’t get too cold that is!
Our favorite is Timarron park, just off Kuykendahl! The splash pad is huge, tones of grass all around for the kids to run, play on, and makes for a great picnic. There is also a pavilion you can rent for events and parties. We happened to have had our daughter’s 2rd birthday party here.
Our second favorite is May Valley, located in the back of The Woodlands. Like Timarron it’s also a great size splash pad with ample grass around for running and playing. They also have a pavilion near by for rent.
Both of these splash pads have playgrounds all walking distance for the kids to burn off more energy after they are done playing in the water.
The next two splash pads are tied for 2nd & 3rd place as they both are very similar. The one in Market Street as well as the one in Creekside area (Village Green). Both are great as they are surrounded by restaurants which makes it an easy activity after grabbing a bite to eat. Or you can always grab a sandwich from Potbelly in Market Street or a pizza from Crust in Creekside and take it to one of the outdoor seating areas by the splash pad to enjoy while the kiddos play.
