Family Time at Typhoon Texas

By Shayla Kuykendall July 19, 2017

We know what summer time means for families…a chance to hit the water! Starting May 27th, your family can visit Typhoon Texas Waterpark for an exhilarating experience.

You may have heard about the Texas-sized boomerang wall on the Texas Twister ride, but the fun doesn’t stop there. There are so many things to enjoy when you visit the family-friendly waterpark.

You can experience the thrill of the Typhoon, where the winding waterslide collides with exhilaration of white water rafting. You can even check out the winding waterslides of the Snake Pit or Lazy River.

And there is fun for even the smallest waterpark-goers with the Typhoon Texas’ Gully Washer play area with its 800-gallon water bucket, more than 100 spray areas, eight platforms, seven different slides, elevated walkways and rope bridges.

Typhoon Texas also returns with live music showcasing some of Houston’s best musical talent on Saturdays and Friday Night Slides with fun, DJ music all summer long. Guests also will enjoy mouth-watering Roegels Barbecue, slow-smoked on-site daily, among the park’s many food-and-beverage offerings. Season passholders can pay for food-and-beverage items with their sMART Lynq wristband that links to a season passholder’s credit or debit card.

The park also has some new features for 2017 including poolside cabanas, private lockers, additional shade structures, rotating misters, retail carts, an upgraded movie night experience and additional on-site parking spaces. Also new for 2017, season passholders can enter Typhoon Texas Houston 30 minutes prior to opening every day, a great way to secure the parking and poolside seating of their choice. Other perks include a 2017 Typhoon Two-Step season pass for unlimited free admission to the all-new Typhoon Texas Austin, opening Saturday, May 27 at 18500 TX-130 N Service Road in Pflugerville.
