Cheap Fun for Families this Spring Break!

The kids are on Spring Break and want something fun to do before school starts again! Good thing for you Houston has A LOT to offer! Check out our recommendations!

A.D. Players — Don’t miss special matinee performances of Charlotte’s Web March 15-17, 10:30 am. Tickets are $15-$25. 

Alamo Drafthouse Katy — Take advantage of Kids Camp at Alamo Drafthouse Katy March 10-16 with an 11 am screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Reserve your seat online with just a $1 – $3 donation to a local nonprofit. 



Blessington Farms — Kids will enjoy outdoor fun at Blessington Farms such as playing on Sand Mountain, hay rides, animal encounters, barrel train rides, Fossil Dig, Tire Mountain, Aviary Adventure, Rope Maze, pedal cars and more. Participate in Blessington Pick your Own Strawberriesfor just $5 per pound (no admission free required). 

George Ranch Historical Park — This historical park in Richmond is offering learning and fun over Spring Break March 11 and March 14-18. Celebrate 100 years of ranching and farming at the Historical Park! Kids can explore life as a Texas settler! Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 5-15. Hours are 9 am – 5 pm Tuesday – Saturday .

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo — Value Wednesday is the day to save money on Houston Rodeo fun (March 15 during spring break). Check out the livestock show, AGventure, carnival and shopping at Reliant Park for just $5 for adults. Kids and seniors are free! Don’t miss out! Purchase tickets online.



Main Event—Has great deals on an All-You-Can-Play wristband that can cost $13-$19 depending on the time you go! Check out their FUNPass!

Main Street Theater — Main Street Theater is offering 10:30 am matinees during Spring Break, March 13-17. Kids will enjoy How I Became a Pirate March 13-14 andRamona Quimby March 15-17. Tickets are $16-$20 each. 

Rienzi — {Kids 12 and under are always free at Rienzi}. The MFAH house museum offers several kid-friendly options during Spring Break including Storytime Tours and Spring Break Art-Making. Adult admission is $8, youth 13-18 $5, and kids 12 and under free. 

Rosenberg Railroad Museum — This railroad-themed museum in Rosenberg is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm Sundays. Folks can tour the gallery and enjoy special exhibits. Admission is $7.50 adults, $5 kids age 2-14.

The Children’s Museum of Houston — This kid-friendly favorite has big events planned for spring break!. This year’s theme, Xtreme Spring Break, is set for March 10-19. It’s dubbed the “ultimate family destination” with hands-on activities and loads of entertainment . Go free Thursday, March 16, for Free Family Night from 5 pm – 8 pm or any other day admission is $12 per person with hours 10 am – 6 pm.Â
