By Leah Pressley November 16, 2021

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest holidays of the year with activities for your entire family happening the whole week, so here is a list of all the activities to do this thanksgiving week so you don’t miss out on anything.

Ice skate at Moody Gardens and see their Festival of Lights, a magical winter wonderland with holiday-themed activities and fun.

Check out The Woodlands Ice Skating rink, which is open now through January, 17th

Go see the Houston Zoo Lights where there are over 300 thousand LED lights to make over 50 animal-themed displays and a trail of even more twinkly lights. Sing carols, listen to music, and marvel at life-sized animal sculptures.

Participate in the Thanksgiving morning Houston Turkey Trot! In The Woodlands, it’s a great way to start the day off on an early foot to get the most out of the holiday, and to get active as a family.

Watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade! Or go to the City of Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, a 67-year-old tradition filled with entertainment, floats, and family fun.

On Thanksgiving evening the Uptown Holiday Lighting starts the holiday season with thousands of Houstonians and visitors lining up along Post Oak Boulevard. There are more than half of a million lights, a parade, a show, an appearance by Santa himself, and a firework show to end the night.
