Check out some of the water parks around the Houston area as you plan your next vacation or outing. You are going get excited about getting all wet this summer! Be sure to click the links to see price ranges for a variety of affordable family packages.

#1 Jellystone Park Wet-n-Wild Waterpark {Waller}

Loan Star Jellystone's Wet-n-Wild Waterpark has lots of fun including: 350 ft Pine Tree Plunge, 405 ft Jelly Roll, Ride the Serpent Water Slide, Plunge Pool, Swimming Pool, Splash Playground w/ 5000 gal. Picnic Basket Blaster, Wet-n-Wild Hey Wagon.  You can choose to camp overnight or just visit for the day.
#2 Noah's Ark {Houston}

Noah's Ark Pool is one of Houston's hidden treasures.  Part of First United Methodist Church's Quillan Center, this pool is a perfect cool down spot for toddlers to early elementary age children.  The play structure includes Noah's Ark that has tunnels, slides, spray and lots of fun.  

 #3 Rob Fleming Aquatic Center {The Woodlands}

The Rob Fleming Aquatic Center in The Woodlands has a 500' lazy river, splash pad, water slides, tubes and a 150-gallon dump bucket.  Coolers are allowed so pack a lunch or visit the concession stand and make a day of it.  Get there early to secure a lounging spot in the shade.

 #4 Schlitterbahn {Galveston, South Padre Island, New Braunfels}

 Schlitterbahn Beach, South Padre Island, Texas is ranked the #1 kid-friendly attraction by Texas Family Magazine. This 15-acre water park on the Gulf Coast has a natural beachfront environment. It boasts of 11 exciting attractions and 13 water slides. Family amenities include free parking and inner tubes. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic. Don’t forget to visit the nation’s largest body boarding ride called the Boogie Bahn2. There are other locations throughout Texas such as Corpus Cristi, Galveston Island, and New Braunfels.
 #5 Splashway Waterpark {Sheridan}

Splashway Waterpark is located between San Antonio and Houston, is one hour west of Katy in Sheridan. The most popular attraction is Ray’s Racers, a four-lane side-by-side racing mat slide. Slippery Twister is a serpentine body slide which begins from a 45-foot high platform. 

#6 Typhoon Texas {Katy}

The next time you are in Katy, Texas please come by Typhoon Texas. This brand new waterpark just opened in May of this year and it boasts of more than a dozen attractions including a large wave pool, lazy river, and slide towers. There is an interactive play area for children.

 #7 Wet 'n' Wild Splash Town {Houston}

Wet ‘n’ Wild Splash Town in Spring, Texas, is the former Splash Town Houston. It rival’s other parks with its 53-acre campus. It is located north of downtown Houston. Some of the attractions include the Brain Drain, a seven-story tall, 333-foot long looping, and speed ride that begins in a trap-door launch into a free-fall descent. A double FlowRider continuous wave surf rides and Texas Freefall will excite the thrill seeker in every family. 
#8 Pirates Bay {Baytown}

Baytown Texas has a water park called Pirates Bay, and it’s full of fun times memories and amenities. Some of the rides include the Colorado Drop Slide, Boomerango, and there are some crossing activities. Other attractions include the Coastal Oasis, a 450-acre peninsula surrounded by Burnet Crystal and Scott Bays. It consists of hardwood uplands, high-quality tidal marsh, and freshwater wetlands. This site is listed on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, providing habitat for 317 species of resident and neo-tropical migrant birds. 

 #9 Palm Beach {Galveston}

Palm Beach at Moody Gardens in Galveston has been renovated and their grand opening was June 11, 2016. More than a water park, it’s an adventure. The Rainforest Pyramid allows you to visit the rainforests of Asia, Africa, and the Americas. You and the family can take the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat and enjoy dinner and the scenic Gulf of Mexico. Other sites are the Discovery Museum and Pyramid. Oh yes, don’t forget the water rides!
