Beat The Heat With Ice Skating

Aerodrome

By Jorge Martinez March 1, 2015
When the words ice skating are mentioned, what comes to mind? A frozen pond with the backdrop of a winter wonderland? Do the memories of the Christmas season flood back? Now, imagine ice skating in the middle of spring break or during the crazy heat of summer in Houston.
Those of us down South most likely attribute ice skating with the winter months, and you probably would never even think of people ice skating during any other season, unless you have visited The Galleria. The ice rink in The Galleria would best fit those who only want to skate recreationally, since there is no real building around it and its right in the middle of all the shops.
Aerodrome Ice Skating Complex is the optimal place for the sport of ice skating. Its facility houses, apart from the ice rink, a pro shop, restaurant, and a fitness center. They offer lessons on figure skating, hockey, and regular skating. It is located on 8220 Willow Place Drive North in the Willowbrook area. For more information, they can be contacted at 281-847-5283
The Aerodrome offers public skate sessions with skates available for rental. During the day, the sessions are bright and lively. During the evening sessions, the lights are dimmed and the music ranges from country to rock to jazz. A special-effects lighting system brings it all together to form a party atmosphere in the Aerodrome.
They also host theme nights and holiday parties that are promoted throughout the year.
